Call Meeting to Order: 6:31pm

Approval of April Minutes: Attach correct POOL RULES to April Minutes. Fix Financial Review Year. Motion to accept by Ashley and seconded by Jeff.  Approved 6-0.

Residents Open Forum: Resident #1 – Wanted to know benefit of having both HOA Managemen and SRHOA website. Asked about open seats on the SRHOA Board.

DRC Business: Residence with fence will be given one more month and Notification to meet approved Height requirement.

Priority Business:

  • Pool Use Violation Resolution with Prohibiting Smoking & Alcohol Vote – Motion to accept by  Ashley and seconded   by Kip. Approved 5-1.
  • Pool Rules Sign – Motion to accept Attached Sign by Jeff and seconded by Kip. Approved 5-1.
  • Signs for order – 5 Southern Ridge Signs, 2 Pool Signs.
  • Board Dues Resolution – Drafted for acceptance at next Board meeting. Motion by Jeff and  Seconded by Steve. Approved 6-0.
  • Rules of Order and Laws of Kansas – Date to be set to read and discuss Laws.
  • Superior Landscaping Items provided by Jennifer. – Superior list items recommended for Repair: Rip Rap, Pawnee and Greenfield, Mulch, Removal of old Mulch, Sprinkler Heads. Jennifer to get bids 3 for Sprinkler Repairs.
  • Storage in Pool Room – Connie to put a cabinet for paper towels and toilet paper. No more than $300. Motion to accept by Connie and seconded by Jeff. Approved 6-0.
  • Vote to accept Jeff’s resignation as President. Motion approved by Kip and seconded by Jeff.
  • Vote for new President – By Default Secretary becomes President. New named President – Kip.  Motion made by Jeff and seconded by Connie.
  • Vote to accept Jeff’s resignation from Board – Motion to accept by Kip and seconded by Ashley.
  • Nicki’s resignation from Board

Old/Other Business:

  • Trash Blind – Tabled to June Meeting
  • Doggie Bags – Tabled to June Meeting

  1. POOL HOURS: 9:00 am – 10:00 pm.

  2. CHILDREN UNDER 16 MUST ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

  3. NO:

  • DIVING
  • RUNNING
  • PETS
  • GLASS ITEMS
  • ALCOHOL
  • SMOKING
  1. POOL USE FOR SRHOA RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUEST (MAX#) ONLY.

  2. RESIDENTS WHO CAUSE DAMAGE(S) WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE.

  3. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY

SOUTHERN RIDGE HOMEOWNERS ASSOICATION

  POLICY RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Southern Ridge Board of Directors, by authority of Article III, Section 3.1 (A thru G), of the Southern Ridge Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, signed by the Developer of Southern Ridge dated September 22, 2003;

WHEREAS, the purpose of this Resolution is to adopt regulations concerning enforcing pool rule violations.

WHEREAS, this Policy Resolution will apply to all owners of the Southern Ridge Homeowners Association until the current or future Board of Directors vote to eliminate or change said Policy Resolution.

Enforcement of Pool Rules:

The Southern Ridge Board of Directors wants everyone to be able to enjoy their time while they are at the pool. With that comes a few pool rules to ensure that you and others around you are able to stay safe while at the pool.  If a resident or a guest of a resident is seen breaking any of the rules, the Board of Directors shall enforce the rules in the following manner:

  1. Throwing any objects into the pool that are not made for the pool will result in written warning and held liable for any damages.  Any reoccurring violations of the same nature will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from the pool and be held liable for any damages caused.

  2. Diving into the pool from any place on the exterior of the pool will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from pool privileges.

  3. Children under the age of 16 that are not accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older or left unsupervised shall receive a onetime written warning.   Any reoccurring violations of the same nature will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from the pool privileges.

  4. Bringing glass objects inside the pool area will result in receive a onetime written warning.  Any reoccurring violations of the same nature will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from the pool privileges.

  5. Bringing alcohol inside the pool area will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from the pool.

  6. Smoking inside of the pool area will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from the pool.

  7. Climbing on any object, building or structure that is not intended to be climbed on will result in a 1 week (7 days) suspension from the pool privileges and be held for any damages that may have been caused.

Continual violation of the pool rules may result in extended suspension of pool privileges to be determined by the Board of Directors.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT on this day of , 2016, the Southern Ridge Board of Directors properly presented this Administrative Resolution to the Association in accordance with K.S.A. 58-4617(a)(1)(2). The Board of Directors has voted and passed this Resolution at a duly called meeting of the Board of Directors in accordance with K.S.A. 58-4612 (e) and has recorded the motion to approved said resolution in the official minutes recorded by the Secretary of the Association.
